The National Theatre has introduced Assembly Connections to create a new body of plays for primary aged children and help teachers fill the dreaded assembly slot. Five short plays have been commissioned from established writers to be performed by children all over the country. The SJT will host showcases for Scarborough and Whitby schools, one of which will also be invited to perform in London.
