A Shot In the Dark

This delightfully clever comedy thriller set in Paris; employing the services of an examining magistrate. Josefa Lantenay is a disarmingly attractive young maid in a well-to-do household, who has just been arrested for murdering her lover, the chauffeur. Paul Sevigne, the handsome young magistrate, has to find out the truth. But his task is made more difficult not only by the ample and highly visible charms of his suspect (and consequently the jealousy of his new, young wife) but also by his boss, whose sole concert is not to upset Josefa's rich and influential employers, the Beaurevers. Sevigne, however, has other justice!
