Graceful archiveA young woman who's never had a mother and grown woman who's never had a daughter find themselves in roles they never expected. When 17-year-old Grace's alcoholic father checks himself into rehab, she is sent to live with his distant cousin, 38-year-old Rhonda, who had an abortion ten years before. Will they fulfil the roles they're expected to, or will they find in each other something more complex, more troubling, perhaps even more beautiful?

The production seamlessly blends reality and theatricality, with the women's Inner Selves embodied onstage and serving as commentators, companions and constant judges, combining spoken word with achingly honest dialogue. In the post-Weinstein era, as the #metoo and #timesup movements take hold, it's time to create spaces where women can reclaim their bodies and their sexuality. Graceful opens the can of worms that is female desire in all its complexity, and lays it bare across the stage.Presented byFlugelman Productions. Director Courtney Larkin.
