CORONAVIRUS: 22Feb21 UpdateAll UK venues closed on 16th March 2020. After the Prime Minister's announcement it would appear that, subject to continued control of the virus, venues may re-open with social distancing and limits on audiences from 17th May. Social distancing restrictions may be removed from 21st June. We will continue to update our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as/when they are reported.

John Gabriel Borkman
T670829878Written in 1897 and one of the author's last plays. John Gabriel Borkman has been in voluntary seclusion in an upstairs room since serving a prison sentence for embezzlement. His estranged wife Gunhild, her twin sister Ella, his son Erhart, the divorcee Mrs Wilton and Borkman himself, are all trapped in a suffocating atmosphere of their household. There are only two ways out.

Performances on 6th Sep and 7th Sep (matinee) cancelled by Richard Eyre with little notice, probably on account of Vanessa Redgrave falling ill - there was an understudy and this is the first time an RNT show has been cancelled in these circumstances.
