Somewhere downtown in New York City there is big trouble in a Funeral Parlour: the corpse of a prominent community activist has been stolen. A noisy, outrageous collection of admirers demand the rightful return of the body. In the process, their hilarious obsessions and relationships burst into a dazzling array of urban settings. One of the mourners has his trousers stolen; a womanizer DJ from LA confesses to a bewildered priest who turns out to be a closet racist. Characters hunger for redemption for the sins of their past while fighting over past betrayals or the merits of Connecticut Pizza.
