Rasputin or The Cook, The Monk and The Tsarina's Dog

T2030321147
Seven actor-musicians play a profusion of real-life characters to tell the Natural's version of the events surrounding the mad monk of the Russian Court with terrific songs, absurd melodrama, hilarious juxtapositions and a truly amazing array of musical instruments. With the help of music pinched from Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov and many other Russian greats, the layers of the mystery are peeled away in a hugely entertaining theatrical event.
