Slavers

T0203503421
Past and present collide as the slave trade comes back to Hull. It's 2007 and there's big money to be made in human cargo. For a group of Hull school leavers there is the challenge of a new business start-up and the chance of living a fabulous lifestyle as slave traders - but is it ethical? What happens when some of them start 'going spiritual', get into politics and kick-start a global campaign against this 'vilest of trades'? Slavers is a back to the future story - part satire, part epic - that recreates the real-life story of the slave trade and its abolition, through the eyes of young people in Hull today.
