One evening Agie, a transsexual scientist, meets Ben, a young gay man with a hearing impairment. Ben and Agie are instantly attracted to one another, although Ben does not initially realise that Agie is a woman. The two become a couple, but later it emerges that Ben suffers from Usher Syndrome, a rare genetic disease, and is likely to become blind. Agie resolves to use her professional skills and contacts to assist him. Remarkably, she is able to cure the disease using gene therapy. But Fate has a further hand to play in this tale of love, guilt and forgiveness...
