Production details

It is the story of the wildly passionate but doomed love between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw. Their unresolved passion eventually destroys them both and after Catherine's death a tormented Heathcliff embarks on a ruthless vendetta against those who had prevented them from being together. Set in the wilds of Yorkshire this fierce vision of an extraordinary passion in which heaven and hell, nature and society, dynamic and passive forces clash, has a unique and timeless appeal.
