Barbara Jefford, who recently garnered ecstatic reviews opposite Ralph Fiennes in Coriolanus] and Geraldine McEwan, whose extraordinary stage and screen work ranges from The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit to Mapp and Lucia, present a delightful evening of poetry devised by Richard Digby Day, which includes some of the most memorable poems from a literature that, until the 1960's was largely ignored by anthologies and editions. The voices heard range from Queen Elizabeth 1 to Alice Meynell.
