Details

Spend an evening in the company of Alan Bennett, a national treasure, as he reads from a selection of his own works in his inimitable style and rounds off the evening by taking questions from members of the audience. Alan Bennett is one of our country s leading lights across the fields of theatre (History Boys), film (The Madness of King George) and television (Talking Heads). With a career spanning 50 years he is now a reluctant celebrity, an iconic figure in British culture with a canny ability to create characters that we can all recognise. For one night only we invite you to spend an evening in his wonderful company. We are delighted to welcome Michael Palin along to host the evening. Both Palin and Bennett are Camden residents and this event is being staged to raise funds towards the redevelopment of the Roundhouse in the borough, as it approaches reopening at the end of the year.
