T1976795836For the past 17 years Sarah Kennedy’s dulcet tones have gently roused Radio 2 listeners with her weekday early morning show -‘The Dawn Patrol’. Sarah Kennedy’s gentle humour and slightly eccentric ramblings and anecdotes mark her out as a rare voice on today’s radio, and with a prestigious Sony Gold Radio Award (and an MBE) under her belt plus a regular listenership of around 5 million, she’s clearly a much-loved figure. She became a household name in the eighties as a co-presenter (along with Matthew Kelly, Henry Kelly and Jeremy Beadle) of the notoriously popular TV show Game for a Laugh, and has more recently ventured into writing. The publication of her first novel, Charlotte's Friends, followed the success of Terrible Twos and Terrible Pets, which were based on two collections of listeners' tales. Join Sarah for an evening of gentle chat about her life and times, with the chance to put your questions to her after the interval... 'if we're spared'! | |
