- Maidenhead Musical Comedy Society (MMCS), was formed on 15th November 1966 by Betty and Roy Gaunt – both members of NODA. The first show was presented in the Desborough Suite, Maidenhead in October 1967.
Over the years, we have put on a whole host of amateur musical productions including South Pacific, Chicago, Cabaret, Calamity Jane, Sweet Charity, 42nd Street, Anything Goes ... the list goes on!
Since 1972, we have performed two musicals a year at the Desborough Suite – usually in October and April and through the reputation which the society has, attract a vast audience and support. We rehearse on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Taplow Village Hall.
We pride ourselves on the high quality of our productions. The costumes and sets are hired for the shows, enabling the performers to focus on the acting, dancing and singing. Our resident Musical Director Neil Matthews, has worked with a number of Directors and Choreographers who have been involved with our Company.
MMCS has over 70 members and new talent is always welcome – so if you fancy joining us or want to find out more information, please Email or Telephone Martyn on 07752 673235
