- WLOG was formed about 40yrs ago by singers in and around the market town of Beccles on the River Waveney. It has gone from strength to strength since its inception and is now one of the premier entertainment societies in its area. The Group is purely amateur, but always aims to present a professional approach in all it does: this has resulted in the production of shows which are known for their high quality and artistic excellence. We present two main productions each year, a revue-style performance in April and a fully-staged and costumed main show in October. Productions range across all dramatic styles, recent examples being taken from the work of Ivor Novello, Stephen Sondheim, Gilbert & Sullivan, Leonard Bernstein, Johann Strauss, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter. We also participate in local music-making, with smaller concerts in local churches and village halls.
