- The Talisman Theatre Company was founded in 1942 and is a non-professional producing management. Ten plays are produced each year, working to the highest possible standards in acting, direction and design. The Company welcomes actresses, actors , designers, technicians, backstage and front-of-house staff. The present Theatre was opened in 1969 and seats 156 people. Art exhibitions are held in the foyer, small-scale productions in the Studio, and social events everywhere. The Company operates an extensive Wardrobe Hire service for dramatic productions and fancy dress parties. Members receive the house magazine TALISMAG and are offered a saving on tickets.
