One of the leading amateur theatre groups in the country, the Company of Ten makes its home in the Abbey Theatre, Westminster Lodge, St. Albans. This constitutes a 244 seat proscenium arch auditorium and an 80 seat studio. The company has more than 450 memebers from all ages and backgrounds who are interested in the entire process of theatre production. Around ten productions from a wide variety of genres are put on throughout the year to a very high standard. Not for nothing has the Company of Ten been known as the mainstay of live theatre in St. Albans for nearly 70 years.
