- Formed in 1997 at Brunel University. Following two successful years based at Brunel University, the group formerly known as Brunel Alumni Drama, or B.A.D., is now moving on to become a local community-based theatre group. To date, The Purple Theatre Company has been involved in four shows, including one that was entered for the 1998 National Student Drama Festival. As well as full-scale productions, The Purple Theatre Company has hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner and also one-off comedy evenings. During its short existence so far, The Purple Theatre Company has donated well over £1,000 to various charitable organisations.
