UKTW - 25 years online
CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 and there is currently no planned general re-opening time. Some venues are showing on-line productions or outside productions - even a few covid safe internal ones and a number of tours and shows have been rescheduled for later in 2020 and throughout 2021. A few pantomimes may be possible but we await a relaxing of the rules for theatres from the Government.

12th Mar 20: Absolutely brilliant! A fantastic romp, fast and furious, with all the wit of the original. The cast covered all the characters with panache. I laughed and laughed! I can't praise it highly enough.
Dial M for Murder (Playhouse, Salisbury)

11th Mar 20: Oh dear have I missed something! Acting far too over the top with dramatic gestures very distracting. Film cannot be bettered . This is now creaky and showing its age. Some dialogue very indistinct.

7th Mar 20: This performance was outstanding, the way it was portrayed on stage very clever and it was the superb acting from cast that made it a joy to watch . Myself and three friends came away from the Theatre with nothing but praise of the performance we had seen , again a joy to watch , well done to all .
Macbeth (Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, West End)

7th Mar 20: Terrible- supposedly child friendly but a weird mix up of street cultural references with Shakespearean script- confusing and frankly dislikeable. A fantastic way to put a child off Shakespeare. More interesting for th actor / director than the audience. Perhaps it might be fair to consider Shakespeare knew more about entertaining than the contemporary theatrical teams who feel they have to ‘ mix it up’ to make it relevant to a young person. In the words of my son- ( tearfully) it was terrible...
Jane Eyre (Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne)

7th Mar 20: Unfortunately the sound was not good and I struggled to hear the performance. A lot of the time the actors had their back to the audience! I am not taking away the fact that the actors all worked very hard but alas I am disappointed.

Lady Chatterley's Lover

2nd Mar 20: I saw this at Malvern on Sat (29/2) with a small, but appreciative audience. A shame, because it deserved better. Of the several versions of LCL I’ve seen, I thought this was one of the most original, with the ghostly narrations particularly clever. While each and every one of the cast were excellent, the young woman who played the roles of a deceased nurse, Lady Chatterley’s sister and Mrs Betts deserves special mention for the incredibly different and effortless way she switched from one role to the next – a truly brilliant night, thank you.
The Magic of Motown - Reach Out
