CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 but restrictions were lifted on 19th July 2021 with venues free to run shows to full capacity audiences after that though there are still issues with company members being forced to self-isolate on being 'pinged'. In September it is possible that a COVID vaccination certificate (or exemption) may be mandated for entry. Please note that iUKTDb archive listings between March 2020 and July 2021 may not be accurate as we did not receive details of all rescheduled and cancelled shows.
15th Jul 21 :: Review: Jane Eyre (The Blue Orange Theatre, Birmingham) We saw Jane Eyre tonight, Thursday 15th July, at the Blue Orange theatre. It was fantastic, highly recommended. An ingenious synopsis adaptation, brilliantly acted and told. Good luck to the cast for Edinburgh fringe and Isle if Wight, you deserve great success with this - well done and thank you for a great evening out! :) 5
20th Jun 21 :: Review: The Jungle Book (Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre, Chester) As an adult I appreciated the quality of acting and the resourcefulness- however it was , for a local summer performance alittle over thought.
Given it probably attracted a family audience due to its content , it could be considered as too deep in its message - although a great twist to engage all ages - a bit more of a fun story associated closer to it roots would have been more appreciated and enjoyed , in the main .
Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed the entire performance and totally support the Storyhouse - The Actors were believable and enchanting - the set Very well considered and intimate - a perfect afternoon in the Park - Many Thanks to all for such a remarkable achievement ! 4
16th Oct 20 :: Review: Dante's in Furlough (The Vaults, Inner London) Amazing performance! The story is great, the actors are so enthusiastic, funny and devilishly wicked. Everything was thought out to the finest detail and I loved every moment. I couldn't get enough ???? 5
11th Mar 20 :: Review: Dial M for Murder (Playhouse, Salisbury) Oh dear have I missed something! Acting far too over the top with dramatic gestures very distracting. Film cannot be bettered . This is now creaky and showing its age. Some dialogue very indistinct. 2
