In 360 ALLSTARS the Big Top comes alive with a wall of percussion and a series of remarkable performances exploring all forms of rotation. We’re all going round in circles in various ways emerging from street culture.
Ball-Zee, the world champion and three-time UK champion beatboxer acts as MC as well as providing his own singular set. More sound is presented by the award-winning master percussionist, Mikey Sorbello. The two-time world champion BMX Flatlander Peter Sore traverses the stage, riding his BMX in increasingly unlikely positions showing uncanny balance. Internationally acclaimed basketball freestyler Trickstar spins and juggles his basketballs with increasing ingenuity. Champion break-dancers Bboy Chris and Bboy Daz, battle for supremacy in their performances. World renowned cyr wheel artist Josh Curtis floats and circles around the stage with superb power and control. It’s an hour of captivating exhilaration.
The intro section is a little overindulgent and is darkly lit: I wanted more light to see. But in the first break-dance battle the spotlights kept shining at the audience, blinding me from appreciating what the guys were doing. Change the lighting to improve the experience. The comedy didn’t add much for me, but the feats are incredible. With the Wonderground array of food and drinks outside, this is a brilliant way to enjoy a summer’s evening.
