It seems an interesting concept, 4 real Asians performing as 4 white men pretending to be 4 fake Asians. But the script doesn't develop this idea to make either a play or comedy. It's already "meta" enough without the warm-up or the sitcom setting. The cast are confident and engaging, but left many of the audience puzzled. It didn't succeed as a plaint against racism - change the cast to black, or gay, or Muslim - the effect would be the same. Aiming to turn the white gaze back on white people, it could have much more cruel. It didn't succeed.
