A young Bengali woman struggles with her national history at the hands of the English while trying to write a book about Shakespeare in India. But Will is in her head and on stage with her. There's a mix of passion and didactic in the script which sometimes comes across as a lecture. She is convincing as she returns to play one of her forebears . It is very brave to attempt a Scottish accent in Edinburgh, but he is an effective foil for her. It does make me think about many issues raised.
