Although visually engaging, with some clever and effective choreography delivered by an energetic cast, the show as a whole failed to fully engage me. Whilst the story itself is very powerful I felt its interpretation for the stage was not, it was too much a narration, too much 'tell' and not enough 'show' that left no room for my imagination to follow these characters into the world they wanted me to see. Having said that, this is a true and traumatic story that needed to be told, it is almost impossible for most of the audience to imagine the hardships and journey that this man made as a young boy and the dreadful way he was treated by our child services during his time in the UK.
