Great work in a solo show where script, set and performance are all equally high standard. A young man waiting for his girlfriend in a coffee shop. He tells us about their relationship by way of scenes with their friends and family. Tom Machell plays his joy, rage and grief brilliantly, effortlessly switching from character to character. The table set is ingenious, adding visual flair to the show. Though you may know we are not heading for a happy resolution, spending time with him is oddly satisfying.
