User Notices

The UKTW website has been collecting notices submitted by users since 1995, however, with the advent of GDPR in May 2018 it was necessary to "clean up" the datbase. An email was sent out to all the email addresses registered as having submitted a notice asking if they wanted us to keep it - we were only able to keep those who gave us explicit permission so most of the notices were deleted (people's emails had not remained the same over the 23 years!). Whilst this was a shame it was necessary to comply with the new legislation. All notices added after 1st May 2018 are compliant with the new legislation.

Open Auditions (Film & theatre) for "Mordred"
Audition: A gritty, dark tale, Mordred is an Arthurian-era drama, heavily influenced by the earliest legends of Mordred, who is traditionally seen as King Arthur's arch-nemesis, and illegitimate son. In the earlier legends, Mordred is much more of an ambiguous character, and not pure evil, as in modern re-tellings, this film and theatre show tells of the legends, from Mordred's point of view. Open auditions will be held Sunday Feb 28, 2016, 4.30pm , Chestnut Community Centre, 1 - 3 Poplar Close, Brixham, TQ5 0SA

The Travelling Storybox Presents Little Golden-Hood
Audition: The Travelling Storybox Presents Little Golden-Hood Friday 11th October 2013 Cafe Cairo, London, SW9 9PE "You know the tale of poor Little Red Riding-Hood, that the Wolf deceived and devoured, with her cake, her little butter can, and her Grandmother, well, the true story happened quite differently..." The very first outing of The Travelling Storybox will retell to you a version of the fairy tale we all know so intimately. The highlight of the night takes place at a specific point within the event where you, along with a group of fellow travellers, will be led inside the story by the Narrator for a dark and thorny telling of the tale. Throughout the evening you can expect dazzling walkabout performances that whisk you away into the depths of fantasy; you are invited to make full use of the bar and explore the tunnels of rooms leading into a beautiful outside entertainment area. The event takes place on the 11th October at Cafe Cairo. 8 Strong Dancers Needed
Audition: China West International Productions is due to present its first professional U.K. production, in association with the Eastbourne Chinese Society for the celebration of Chinese New Year 2010. China West International Productions was founded in 2007 by Ms. Annie Guo. Before becoming the founder and the executive producer of China West, Ms. Guo dedicated herself to working as director and producer on many high profile productions here in the U.K and in South East Asia. Some of Ms. Guo’s most credited roles were as Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s Assistant Producer on his Chinese version of Les Miserables; as Jeff Wayne’s Associate Producer on The War of The Worlds; and the Artistic Director of the most recent U.K Tour of Kung-Fu Master. One of Ms. Guo’s biggest achievements was being invited by China and then appointed the Executive Producer on China’s biggest and most influential musical to date, Butterflies. 600million RMB, which roughly equates to £55million, was invested into Butterflies. The outcome was magnificent and the show was recognized nationally and internationally as one of the most successful and momentous international creative collaboration China’s Musical Theatre scene has ever seen. We are currently casting for 8 strong dancers, preferably of South East Asia origin for this up-and-coming production for Eastbourne Chinese Society. We must stress that we currently have a very limited budget for this production as it is non-commercial, and we will only be able to pay our performers’ expenses on the day of the performance. Nonetheless, we promise to do our best to keep the number of rehearsals minimal (approx. 8 sessions) and that China West will do its utmost to look after all our performers. We are also currently applying for funding for a couple of our future productions we have in the pipeline and will also keep potential musical theatre actors on file. Auditions will be held on Saturday 16th January, please kindly forward CV and headshot to cwip2010@yahoo.co.uk Thank you
