Information for Russell Maliphant & Vangelis - The Thread at Sadler's Wells Theatre, Inner London (Dance or ballet). World Premiere. Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Russell Maliphant, inspired by Greek mythology and historic Hellenic dances, portrays the changing form of traditional and contemporary dance, and the flow of inspiration from one to the other. Maliphant and his partners excel in ravelling and unravelling these transformations through dance, movement, music, costumes and light.
