Information for Sir Thomas More at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, West End (Play). The play champions the plight of refugees and depicts the May Day Riots of 1517 and the eventual demise of Thomas More. Heavily censored for fear of inciting further violence, the play wasn't printed until the 20th century. (first performance date unknown, published 1910) Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.
