Oil paintings and watercolours by the leading modern British painter Sir Matthew Smith (1879-1959). Smith was strongly influenced by the work of the Fauvist artists and this display shows his sheer joy and delight in colour and form. The collection has been on loan for many years and this is the last opportunity to see it on public display.
