Birmingham University student KTB (aka 21 year-old Katy Bennett), a songwriter since the age of 12, released her highly acclaimed debut album in 2002, the same year she reached the finals of the BBC Young Folk Award. Since then, Katy has toured the UK extensively including support slots with Eliza Carthy, KT Tunstall and Martin Simpson, and will release her second album Bluebird this autumn. With influences ranging from Patsy Cline and Kathryn Williams to The Beatles and Nick Drake, her songs displays Katy’s powerful voice and a song writing talent that belies her tender years. From the heart of Birmingham, Stanley's Choice deliver a balance of intricate guitar and rustic vocals - a contemporary slice of the singer songwriter genre.
