Mac and Eden: Crash & Burn archiveWith shades of Wood and Walters, this singer-songwriter/actress duo won the Brighton Fringe Cabaret Award with their first outing The Unbearable Pleasure of Being a Woman. Their latest hilarious musical cabaret Crash & Burn takes the audience on a turbulent ascent and descent through the highs and lows of womanhood. Passive-aggressive flight attendant McDonald and control-freak pilot Eden embark upon a hilarious and moving musical journey. Being female can be an unbearably silly business on this oestrogen-driven emotional roller-coaster ride from pigtails to puberty, stilettos to strollers, marriage to messing it up. With candid, poignant and irreverent original songs with titles as intriguing and worrying as I Wish You Had a Penis, Ikea, Andrex Man and Great Big Period Pants, Crash & Burn is entirely the creation of singer/songwriter (and long-term mentor to Sam Smith) Joanna Eden and West End and National Theatre actress Leigh McDonald.
