From Psychedelia to Sonnets is a words and music show, in which Ashley Hutchings tells his story from the world of late sixties rock, through traditional folk music and theatre music to his work as a lyricist and poet. He reads from his book Words, Words, Words and sings songs from his illustrious history as original member or band leader of groups such as Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, The Albion Band and the Rainbow Chasers. He was also a music director at London's National Theatre for four years, and has interesting stories to tell of that time.

In 1972, Ashley Hutchings assembled a group of musicians from the folk and folk-rock music worlds with the intention of making an album of English Morris Dancing music with a modern, rock twist. The result was the Morris On! Album. Forty Three years and five more albums later, Ashley Hutchings' Morris On! Show is as alive as ever. With Hutchings at the helm (on Vocals and Bass Guitar), the show features music, songs and dancing from Simon Care (Squeeze Box), Gavin Davenport (Vocals, Guitar and Concertina), Guy Fletcher (Drums, Fiddle and Broom) and Tom Wright (Lead Guitar, Drums and Vocals). The band are joined on stage by Morris Dance teams and solo dancers to further add to the spectacle that is Morris On!
