Following huge critical acclaim at its premiere in Ars electronica, Golan Levin's (protege of John Maeda) Messa di Voce (placing the voice) is a radical concert performance in which the speech, shouts and songs are augmented in real-time by Tmema's custom made interactive visualization software. The extended vocal techniques of two master improvisers meld with the latest in computer vision and speech recognition technologies. The result is stunning, language develops a visual performance. Created by Golan Levin and Zachary Lieberman and performed by Japp Blonk and Joan La Barbara.
