A double bill concert. Liverpool band Loka continues to draw on a wide range of influences including jazz, classical and BBC Radiophonic through to 60s psychedelia. With a beautifully dark and enveloping sound developed over their two albums for Ninja Tune, this band is drenched in forward-looking psychedelia and uneasy intrigue. Also playing on the same evening is Manchester's Paddy Steer. Seen as a Zelig-like character intertwined in the timeline of the city's musical tradition he has played a wide range of music and artists over the years. Under disco lights and from behind his stacked array of instruments Paddy provides chaotic abstraction and nonsensical expression, taking the listener on a brilliant adventure. Join us for the rare opportunity to experience two ever evolving and eclectic acts under one roof.
