The Shout - Sea Tongue archiveSea Tongue begins calmly in port with Derek Walcott's beautiful poem A Sea Chantey. In a wave of human voices, it sets sail into a wild storm of familiar and strange stories: fishing expeditions, the Marie Celeste, slave ships, pirates, the Battleship Potemkin, whaling expeditions, the Titanic, the sinking of the Kursk submarine, intrepid explorers and abandoned ships. Orlando Gough and Richard Chew are the UK's leading contemporary composers.
