Inspired by Mikhail Bulgakov. Fleeing the shame of his failure at medical school in Moscow, a young man escapes to the cold isolation of the Russian countryside. Here, he happens upon a lonely medical surgery. A peculiar cohort of nurses and surgeons take him in to be their new head doctor; a position he freely embraces despite his lack of qualifications. How long will he survive in the country before his failure in the city catches up with him?
