Suppose you stood facing a wall of photographs from your unlived life, in a country torn apart by war. What alliances would you make? Thrown together with strangers, in a place where everything is forbidden, and nothing is permanent, what action would you take? What would you find to believe in? Inspired by travels in Poland, where the tensions of European drama have been played out on the flesh and nerves of a large nation, and where notions of honour and courage are etched into the populations DNA. Charlotte Vincent has created a work which tries to understand our generation's experience of conflict persecution and brutality. Studio
