This spectacular triple bill, features the UK premiere Passo Mezzo by renowned International choreographer Ohad Naharin, Artistic Director of Batsheva Dance Company. O Caritas by Peter Darrell CBE is a new production of a classic piece first performed by Scottish Ballet in 1974, featuring music by Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens). The piece is set within the Middle East and expresses the senselessness of violence in human affairs. The Four Seasons - T360018851The [Curve Foundation Dance Company] are presenting The Four Seasons by Antonio [Vivaldi]. This work will be presented on the 330th Anniversary of Vivaldi's birth. This work will also mark the 10th Anniversary of the company and in many ways this work will be a celebration of all the work the company has created. This production has been created by a Scottish Company working with a variety of artists from over 12 different countries. This production is a unique in that it is the collaboration by 4 choreographers. The music for this production will be the standard score played live by the renowned Edinburgh Quartet and friends. Current Program: Spring by [Filip Van Huffel] - Spring is a wonderfully evocative season with exquisite choreography. Filip's work has been seen extensively in Europe and this will be his Scottish debut. Summer (Violet) by [Henry Oguike] - Summer is a beautifully bright season, created on the company in 2003 by this multi-award winning artist. "The movement reminds me of sweet sticky toffee that can be pulled in several directions at the same time." Autumn (Free Falling) by [Jonathan Watkins] Created by first artist and rising star of The Royal Ballet. This dynamic work has a real sense of weight and falling. Jonathan has created several works for The Curve Foundation and The Royal Ballet. Winter by [Rui Graça] - Winter is the darkest of the seasons and has been created in 2008.
