Mr Name is King - T1328801643

My Name is King, a Dance Umbrella commission, originates from a desire to separate the human spirit from the material world. Using only found/re-cycled materials, the creative team present a backdrop against which performers can explore what is valued, wasted and re-used both physically and emotionally. 30 children from a local primary school will be involved in a series of workshops around recycling and related issues. For the lucky participants the result of these activities will be the opportunity to perform alongside the artists from Déjà Donné. PLUS: Brief Encounter with Girl Jonah: this two, in the Founders Studio prior to Déjà Donné.Corporate Sponsor Veolia Environmental Services.

Aria Spinta - T01028632493

Packed with dirty tricks, interrupted solos, insults and offence, this gloriously shambolic and hysterical dance proves that 'the drama is not in the fall, but in the incapacity to get up after the fall'. Audience and performers are drawn dangerously close together by the magic of the theatre in this choreographic collaboration between [Lenka Flory] from the Czech Republic and [Simone Sandroni] from Italy. [Deja Donne] was founded in 1996 and Aria Spinta was created in 1999 for an international company of five performers.
