Details

'One' has been inspired by the beliefs surrounding the Hindu god Shiva. Shiva, one of the supreme triumvirate, and the god of both destruction and creation was often represented as simultaneously male and female, to explore the relationship between destruction and creation and reveal the vital interdependence of male and female. 'Sign of the Times' reveals from a female perspective the effects of technilogical progress upon life. Examining the dehumanising effects of technology and machines. 'Sign of the Times' takes the movements of manual labour and develops them into a resonant and energetic celebration of humanity.
