Viennese New Year Concert
Programme to include: Strauss Waltzes and Polkas, and works by Smetana, Brahms and Lehár. To welcome in 2006, the SCO's traditional Viennese New Year concert offers a superb selection of favourite Strauss waltzes and polkas, together with hits by Lehár and Smetana. This year there's a welcome return for the exuberant musical personality of Nicolae Moldoveanu, who wowed audiences with his brilliant concerts in 2001, and distinguished soprano Catherine Bott.
