User Review: 04Oct04: Going to see Slipknot for the 4th time, and Slayer for my 3rd time it felt like my first time, full of anticipation for my 2 favourite bands, and left with more anticipation to see them again. Mastodon came all the way to Scotland to play 4 songs, a bit pointless i would say but got the crowd warmed up. Hatebreed were a classic warm-up band, came out a brutally started people moshing with circle pits to tracks like I Will Be Heard and Proven. Jamey Jasta was as energetic as he has been on Hatebreeds US tour. Slayer came out and kicked some arse. Disicple the opening song followed by a crushing War Essemble was awesome. Unfortuntly, the band only play 3 songs from RIB and 1 from GHUA which was dissappointing but they played the main set listing songs off, angel of death, raining blood, postmortem, war essemble, discplie, south of heaven, dead skin mask, seasons in the abyss, mandatory sucided with some Point, Hallowed Point backing up. Tom Araya, fresh from losing his voice 4 days further back in Germany was keen to talk to the crowd and do his usual "roaming eye". The crowd -full of young maggots- never responded as well as they could have done. Few mosh pits left the gig picking up the peices for Slipknot. Slipknot, missing Craig the Sampler due to surgery were not too bad. The soun was awful unfortunly but still, the crowd reacted well due to the size of the most pits to songs like Eyeless, Sic, Heretic Anthem, Pulse of the maggots, duality, 3 nil, blister exists, people=shit etc. The volume was incredibly loud hich resulted in the following day with constant ringing in my ears! The sound -as usual at the secc- let the gig down. It could have been awesome. A sight for sore eyes. But the secc need to replace the current shit-ass amps before they lose their faithful
