The Desai household is a happy household, until the lives of hen-pecked Mr Desai, matriarchal Mrs Desai, daughter Anuskha and son Bunty are thrown into chaos with the arrival of Melwyn and Dougy D'costa. Away from the watchful eye of Mrs Desai, Anushka and Melwyn profess undying love for each other, defying the barriers of religion and caste. Then chaos follows as the family struggle with their principles to put a stop to this forbidden love.
