A festival of street theatre in Croydon town centre and Queen's Gardens. All the way from the Caucasian mountains, the Velayev Family display their tight-rope walking skills in a fast paced performance which challenges the limits of human balance 5 metres above your head. Rose is a lively, little old French lady; charming and absurd, she has a peculiar and comic way of getting her point across. Maynard Flipflap is daft as a brush - look out for his legendary egg catapulting stunt. The Splott Brothers bring their mobile piano bar and some eccentric cabaret. Houdini s classic escapology also inspires some breath-taking drama courtesy of the Invisible Men. Music includes upbeat African dance music from Congobeat. With the brassy blast of five horns, Brasshoppers are creative, spontaneous showmen who play Samba, mambo, jazz, funk and R 'n B.
