Rosalind (24Nov23): So disappointed with Fairytale of New York which our group of 5 saw on November23rd. The first half was very poor. Who were these people? We saw the word Dolans but no introduction . The carols we knew from years back but the sound system was very poor so the actual words could not be heard. It was a very boring hour. The second half was better as regards providing more of a Christmas party atmosphere but just the same few people singing words we could not hear properly and doing the same dancing. The sound system certainly needs attention. The dancers were very good and the dance with the drums was the best part of the evening. There was just something missing from this show. It needs a bigger cast and people with more personality. It was our first visit to the theatre which is wonderful but it deserved a far more professional show than this. 3
