Our compere is Christian Lee; according to Time Out, the ‘king of comedy magic’. Christian has adorned our stage before, charming the audience with his hilarious visual humour, and clever magic. James Brown is an unusual type of conjurer; it’s almost jazz magic, improvising and playing with his audience’s perceptions. He calls himself a psychological opportunist; you can see people’s jaws drop as magic happens in their hands and in their minds. Michael Pearse is unique. An Irishman who has the gift of the blarney; a stream of jokes that invariably have the audience in stitches, while performing some very skilful juggling; this time he’ll be doing magic instead. It doesn’t really matter what he does with his hands, clever though it is; you’ll be laughing too much to notice. Ian Saville is one of the most original performers around, using the unlikely theme of Karl Marx and socialism as a basis for a very, very funny magic act. Our headliner is Alan Shaxon. A former President of the Magic Circle, Alan’s name is a byword among the inner circle of magicians for extraordinary, original, and elegant miracles. He’s performed all over the world, on cruises and TV. To watch Alan perform is an education as well as an entertainment; his skill, professionalism, and the sheer impossibility of what he does.
