Little Stabs of Happiness

T0
Pulp's Mark Webber returns for his ever popular film and music night at the ICA. The quest for happiness begins with low key contemporary classical toons followed by classic underground shorts: Now (Dennis Irving, USA 1969), Unsere Afrikareise (Peter Jubelka, Austria/USA 1966), and The Girl Chewing Gum (John Smith, UK 1976) Tonight's feature is Myra Breckinridge (1970), Michael Sarne's gloriously messy adaptation of Gore Vidal's novel about power, sex changes and getting even. The evening winds up with a chance to get down and dance as Mark Webber spins those 80s disco sounds.
