Stigmata

T02012391475
Would you lie and make false claims to change something about the world you don't like? Would you hammer nails into your hands and pretend to receive messages from Christ? A young, radical dyke might. Jo is unhappy with the Catholic Church's stance on women priests, so she feigns stigmata and claims to have visions of Christ. She is helped in her deception by her camp friend Dominic, whom she has forced to inflict the wounds in her hands. When Father Rappaccio turns up to investigate her claims, a mad cat and mouse game ensues with the priest trying to falsify her story while Jo and Dominic try more and more ridiculous schemes to outwit him. Will Jo succeed before her body drains of blood? Will Father Rappaccio find the evidence he needs to discredit her or will Dominic be able to distract him with carnal vices he'll find hard to resist?... Or will Truant Company arrive at a completely different play? Come and find out.
