Richmond Ballet, the State Ballet of Virginia, travels to London to perform overseas for the first time in its 54-year history. As representatives of the best of American dance, Richmond Ballet will bring a repertory that emphasizes classic works of enduring value from masters George Balanchine and John Butler, as well as two pieces recently commissioned by the company. Made in the USA: Traditions & Innovations features four distinctive ballets choreographed in America: Balanchine's Valse Fantaisie, Butler's After Eden, Ma Cong's Ershter Vals and Val Caniparoli's Swipe.
