Programme 1 - Prelude/Woza
Prelude (Discipline is Freedom) displays the company's virtuosity and introduces the audience to the dancers' and to Fagan's technique through movement. The South African-inspired
Woza, Zulu for 'come celebrate', is an affirmation of human life with evocative power of a poem and an exuberant finale. The music for
Woza is by South African composer Lebo M, who also created the music for
The Lion King.
