AfterLight

Hailed as a defining moment in Russell Maliphant's career when AfterLight first appeared at Sadler's Wells as a brief solo in 2009, this full-length version makes a welcome return for two nights only after its acclaimed premiere in September 2010. Inspired by photographs of Vaslav Nijinsky and his geometric drawings, AfterLight was developed by Maliphant with lighting designer Michael Hulls, a pairing that has been called "the most important creative partnership in modern British dance" (Daily Telegraph) and features projections evolved in collaboration with animator Jan Urbanowski.
